I'm not going to give you a big windy monologue on the "meaning" of my artwork as a Whole, for many images have their own separate story to tell. If there is a statement about a group of images I will have it with them. Generally speaking, the first thing people notice about my work is that the majority of my subject matter is often directed at some aspect of the male figure. You can find plenty of photos and artwork of men that are made by men for other men to enjoy - but I have found that many people still cannot fathom similar imagery made by a woman for other women to admire. Several of my drawings and prints have been on exhibit in a gallery setting and on more than one occasion there has been the assumption that these images were made by a man - and when the viewer finds out that the art was in fact made by a woman the interpretations significantly change. Perhaps I am a little unique in seeking out the qualities that make men what they are: the way a pin-striped suit breaks up his form into abstract patterns, the slope of his shoulder, the curve of his hip, carved jaw line, flexed forearm, or quite simply his eyes. There is a beauty in these masculine features that I feel is frequently overlooked, particularly from a Woman's point of view. So in many of my drawings I like to try and capture something of that male beauty I admire so much, and through my drawings show others what my eyes hold in awe: the sensual beauty of the male figure.

In addition, my artwork can range from the sacred nature of pets, obsessive celebrity consumption and fantasy, to the portrayal of intimate desires that I have kept repressed for too many years. I often work from photos and digitals in painting and printmaking, with my inclination being graphite. There is no set subject matter that I stick with, nor is there any concrete style I work in. You will, however, find these male figures to be the thread of consistency that string their way through my portfolio.
