| I have been an artist all my life. I was one of those kids who drew pictures in my math book instead of doing the math. I had taken art in junior high and high school in my hometown of Edwardsburg, Michigan, shocking everyone with weird and creepy things. I studied more art at Central Wyoming College, but got an associates degree in Horse Management instead. Due to lack of encouragement and motivation I quit for a while, so there is a big gap of nothing artistic from me in the late 90's, where I also dealt with massive depression. I traveled the country from job to job for about five years and did about 4 months of modeling at Advantage Models and Talent in Nashville Tennessee. All this was an attempt at trying to find my place in the world. With the moving I've done over the years I have lived in Michigan, Wyoming, Montana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. In 2001, however, I stopped and finished college where I have recently graduated with a B.F.A. in Art from the University of Wyoming. Over the years I've done commission work of a variety of subjects as well as ice sculpture, worked at a bronze casting facility, a sculpture studio, plus several horse farms and ranches. Currently I am once again residing in Michigan. My metaphorical animal is probably something like a clam, and my Tuscaloosa Indian name is Wootakamasata, which translated to runs with scissors.
